I wanted a Kindle for a long time but a major reason (besides price) that I didn&#39;t get one is because I had never seen it or played with it. The idea of the technology is great and fabulous and I was willing to sell my soul to Amazon, lol, but without seeing it, touching it, feeling the product in my hand, I continued to be extremely reluctant to part with the money. <br /><br />The nook in stores is a serious no brainer. The stores have working models and you can use all the features on it. From downloading to changing font sizes/screensavers. <br /><br />Now, I want one and if I can save up the money I can just go to my nearest BN and buy it without waiting for it to be shipped to me. I liked that it had a built in light and a touch screen. Then I purchased a first generation Sony reader so I could read pdf files. Because I&#39;m a fast reader, I like to change the screen quickly. I was able to test both at a book fair, the price was the only reason I went with it. never had to regret that decision. Is that how yours is? It isn&#39;t the newest one, but it does have a touch screen. I got mine about 8 months before B&amp;N said they were going to release an ereader, or I would have waited. Mostly because Amazon took too long to get it&#39;s product to Canada and Nook was not even released at the time. <br /><br />Before the PRS, I had my trusty eBookwise. My only issue was the eBookwise was it&#39;s size and weight. Other than that, it served it&#39;s purpose!<br /><br />While deciding on what to buy, I was recommended the Cybook. But I didn&#39;t want to get something that I couldn&#39;t test first.<br /><br />Although I bought my 505 because I didn&#39;t have any other option, I love it!! The 505 is perfect for my needs! <br /><br />I don&#39;t plan on getting a new reader anytime soon. Unless they improve on the existing e-Ink technology.
