I too prefer BORDERS over B&N. Unfortunately B&N is only 10 minutes away and BORDERS is a 45-minute drive. This, however did not stop me from going down to my favorite BORDERS yesterday and taking advantage of the DVD sales. Beanie & Shmoo are going to be very happy with a couple of my purchases. I certainly did my part for the economy.

Black Friday is what us Americans refer to the day after Thanksgiving as. Basically it's the largest shopping day in the country.

Stores offer mad sales and people come out in droves for them. Sometimes as early as 3 or 4 in the morning you'll see people lined up waiting to get inside, especially at electronics stores.

It's always a madhouse on Black Friday. I only tried going out shopping during it once and..it was scary. :P But then, I'm not much of a shopper.

I love Borders! Always have a coupon each weekend....

I love Borders! Always have a coupon each weekend. BN NEVER has a coupon. And their membership is expensive while Borders is free. They so nice there too! I love buying books as gifts! My son is a big reader and my daughter isn't but she read one author and asked for more of her books so I'm getting her one for Christmas. We have a $25 gift limit but I always add a book! I don't buy from Borders since there isn't one around here (not in the whole province!) but as I said in the last post, no one needs to worry about me not encouraging the book industry *g* Buying books is almost like buying food to me. And I love food :-DD

Thanks for posting about the sale. I've always given books at Christmas and plan to continue doing so. There's nothing like a book!
