I completely blanked out Ash's description and went with my own. He ended up looking a lot more like Brandt in my head then he did in the story. ;)

It really is a great book. It's hard to find a good balance in menage relationships, but Dane really did a good job of working things out in this one. Plus, the futuristic world wasn't overwhelming. Most of the focus was on the triad, so it wasn't distracting.

Like you, there were elements I really liked and some that didn't work quite as well for me. But given that it's a futuristic, and that's a genre I tend to avoid like the plague, and it's a Lauren Dane book, something I tend to gravitate toward no matter the genre, I think it worked really well for me.

It's a testament to Lauren's skill as an author that despite the turnoff of the physical description of Ash especially (soooo not what I go for), the book still kept me riveted, and I still found the characters interesting and sexy.

Someday, one of these guys will have a regular guy haircut, LOL!!! I'm waaiiiting *tapping foot*

Relentless, the book that follows this one (although technically not a sequel) will deal with the state of the Federation in the aftermath of the discovery and the first trials be be starting. You'll see the political struggles a lot more from two polar opposite perspectives.
